Festive pretzel bites dipped in white chocolate and decorated with green sugar for a sweet and salty crunch.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pretzel Base

01 - 72 mini pretzel twists, approximately 3 per shamrock
02 - 24 mini pretzel sticks for stems

→ Chocolate & Decorations

03 - 12 oz white chocolate chips or white candy melts
04 - Green colored sugar or sprinkles
05 - 1 to 2 teaspoons coconut oil, optional for smoother chocolate

# Directions:

01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
02 - Arrange three mini pretzel twists in a shamrock clover shape with points touching on the prepared baking sheet. Place one pretzel stick at the base to form the stem. Repeat to create 24 individual shamrocks.
03 - Place white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth. Stir in coconut oil if needed for smoother consistency.
04 - Using a spoon, drizzle or spread melted white chocolate over each shamrock, ensuring pretzels adhere together and surfaces are fully coated.
05 - Immediately sprinkle green colored sugar or sprinkles over the chocolate before it sets.
06 - Allow pretzel bites to set at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes or refrigerate for 10 minutes until chocolate is firm.
07 - Carefully lift shamrock pretzel bites from baking sheet and serve immediately or store for later use.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • They look impressive enough to serve at a party but take barely 25 minutes from start to finish, which means you can make them the morning of without stress.
  • That contrast of crispy salty pretzels with creamy white chocolate is genuinely addictive—people reach for second and third bites without thinking.
  • They're vegetarian, naturally gluten-free if you use GF pretzels, and small enough that portion control feels less like a sacrifice and more like savoring.
02 -
  • White chocolate seizes and breaks if it gets even a tiny drop of water, so keep your spoon and bowl completely dry—this sounds paranoid until it happens to you.
  • The pretzel twists soften slightly as the white chocolate sets, which is actually perfect because it makes them easier to bite through rather than requiring aggressive jaw strength.
03 -
  • If your white chocolate starts to thicken as you work, microwave it for just 10 seconds rather than starting fresh—this prevents overheating and keeps the consistency perfect.
  • A double boiler works just as well as the microwave and gives you more control if you're nervous about chocolate overheating, but it takes a bit longer.
